Unlike with extractions, do not put pressure over the implants with gauze for bleeding. You may place a thin layer of gauze over the area to absorb the bleeding. Usually bleeding is minimal after implant placement and does not require direct pressure to stop it.
Follow the instructions given to you after surgery in regards to wearing partials or dentures over your newly placed implants. Sometimes, Dr. Allard will prefer that you not wear anything over the implants during the first few weeks of healing.
