Oral cancer is a serious condition and if not treated soon enough, it can become fatal. Those that are showing symptoms are strongly urged to call our office right away. We can take a look and do the necessary diagnostic tests to provide you with answers to the symptoms you're experiencing. Be aware of the common signs of oral cancer that many people get.
Signs and Symptoms of Oral Cancer
There are a number of signs and symptoms that come with oral cancer. It is important to know that not everyone will show the same symptoms. You may have one or two of the symptoms, or none at all. It may take some time to come up with symptoms, as well. Those that notice even the smallest issue inside the mouth should seek out help from our office, as finding the issue sooner rather than later is recommended.
Sores in or outside of the mouth that do not heal, loose teeth in the mouth, ear or mouth pain that is not due to an underlying oral reason, white or red patches inside the mouth, pain while swallowing or not being able to easily, or a lump inside the mouth are all possible signs of oral cancer. Those that are in the early stages of mouth cancer may not show any symptoms at all until the cancer spreads and becomes worse.
All of these signs and symptoms could be noticed if oral cancer is to blame. There are many other symptoms you may notice as well, plus sometimes this cancer doesn't show up the same in one person as it does in another. If you feel that you're experiencing any of these or other serious symptoms and want to be checked for oral cancer, give our office a call today. We'd be happy to schedule a time to have you come in so we can provide an exam.
